CAF Secretary General Lauds Kenya’s Impressive Readiness for Chan Championship

The Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Mr. Veron Mosengo-Omba, has delivered high praise for Kenya’s outstanding preparations ahead of next month’s Chan Championship tournament.

“I am thoroughly impressed with what I’ve observed in Kenya. The quality of the pitch is exceptional, and the changing rooms are top-notch. Everything is in place for a spectacular kickoff on August 2nd,” he stated.

He expressed his sincere appreciation to the Government of Kenya, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for their dedication and hard work in making this event a resounding success.

“I am genuinely excited and look forward to being here on the 2nd to experience the vibrant East African celebration,” he concluded, fueling anticipation for this remarkable tournament.

Mosengo-Omba was joined by Nicholas Musonye, Chairman of the LOC; Harold Ndege, FKF General Secretary and Evans Achoki, Secretary of Administration in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports.

In addition to the Closing Ceremony at Kasarani Stadium, Kenya is set to host all Group A matches at both the Kasarani and Nyayo Stadiums.

With the event just around the corner, the excitement among fans and players continues to grow, promising thrilling moments ahead on the field in Kenya.
